Temples of Karnataka
Karnataka, one of the largest states of India, has a vast cultural heritage dating from 1st century AD. Rashtrakutas of Manyakheta, Kadambas of Banavasi, Hoysalas of Hassan, Chalukyas of Badami, Vijayanagar Rulers, Wodeyars of Mysore, Gangas of Talakadu, along with the feudal dynasties have all contributed profoundly to this rich heritage, once ample, but nowadays turning meagre due to the apathy of people. Temples have always been an integral part of Karnataka with Shaiva and Vaishnava temples alike spanning Kolar to Kumta and Bidar to Bangalore. click here for details.
